Cape Playhouse Producer, Mark Cuddy, announced the entire 2016 season repertory to a hundred donors at a Celebration Party on Sunday night. It is the first time in its history that the full slate has been revealed during the previous season.

"The 90th Anniversary of the historic Cape Playhouse" stated Cuddy "is a time to celebrate its legacy and welcome its future. We should enjoy it for twelve months, which is why I wanted to start now by letting everyone know of these exciting productions. And you might say we are "trumpeting" next summer's centerpiece: Meredith Willson's beloved THE MUSIC MAN making its first Playhouse appearance."

The Playhouse saw its recent production of MY FAIR LADY set a box office record for its two-week run. The 2016 schedule will open THE MUSIC MAN on July 5th and run for three weeks, only the second show to ever do so, after HAIRSPRAY in 2010. The Playhouse will also produce the award-winning CABARET in August in its commitment to bring Broadway talent to the Cape.

Cuddy added "The new season will have a balance of three Playhouse premieres and three revivals. Even though we are ninety years old, there are masterpieces that have not yet seen our stage - CABARET and THE MUSIC MAN being just two. I am thrilled at the mix of shows that will play the Dennis Village theater."

Subscriptions are now on sale. The Cape Playhouse box office is 508-385-3911.

The 2015 Season continues with the hit comedy VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE through August 22, followed by the British mystery, MURDER BY MISADVENTURE from August 25 - September 5.
