R. Erin Craig/La Vie Productions to Present ACADEMY Reading, 2/24
R. Erin Craig / La Vie Productions and Kevin Connor in association with Antoinette DiPietropolo and BoCo Student Government present a reading ACADEMY, conceived and developed by Andrew Kato, and written by John Mercurio, on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Boston Conservatory in Boston, MA.
At St. Edward's Academy, two seniors make a harmless bet on whether they can influence an unsuspecting freshman to break a few rules to succeed. But when the transaction goes recklessly out of control, the boys become entangled in a fight for their own academic and personal survival. Inspired by Goethe's Faust, ACADEMY is a new musical about 7 boys struggling to become men while learning how to remain true to themselves.
ACADEMY features Boston Conservatory students Ryan Borses, Kevin James Connor, Austin Evans, Matt Petromilli, Jonathan Pohl, Nathan Richardson, Jesse Schwartz and is stage managed by Andrew Norlen. Henry Moore (Berklee College of Music) as music director.
