Courtney Adler has recently been named Associate Producer at North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT).  With extensive national experience in theater management, Adler brings a wealth of talent to the region's second largest non-profit performing arts organization.

Under the direction of incoming Artistic Director and Executive Producer Barry Ivan, Adler will supervise and oversee the daily and long-range programming and production of all staged events at NSMT.   Among her many responsibilities, Adler will create and manage production and concert budgets, negotiate union contracts and agreements, coordinate union and non-union casting sessions, supervise technical rehearsals, and work closely with the Education and Production departments to coordinate NSMT's highly successful Theater for Young Audiences program.

Prior to joining NSMT, Adler spent five years as Associate Producer at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri where she supervised the technical and company management departments for the Broadway season.  While at Starlight Theatre she booked national tours, co-produced theatrical events at venues across the country, and produced large scale musicals.  Adler also spent two years traveling with the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus as the Associate Production Manager.  Responsible for over one hundred performers and animals, she supervised and organized backstage production and run crews.  An experienced stage manager, Adler's stage management credits include the Missouri State Ballet and Notre Dame de Paris at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Adler received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Production Management from Purdue University and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Production Management from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

Operating since 1955, NSMT has evolved into the largest non-profit producing theater in New England, with approximately 350,000 patrons annually.  NSMT has gained a national and regional reputation for artistic achievement, specifically in the areas of developing new works and providing outstanding theater arts and education programs.  NSMT has received numerous industry awards including The Elliot Norton Award, The Rosetta Le Noire Award from Actors' Equity, and The Moss Hart Award.  NSMT annually produces a six musical subscription series, a production of A Christmas Carol and an acclaimed concert series. With its celebrated Theatre for Young Audiences program, a school touring program, and year-round classes for children, NSMT has become one of the region's leading providers of theater arts and education.
