Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, returns to Boise for a limited engagement June 2 - June 7, 2020, at the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. The national tour of the Broadway musical HAMILTON will play at the Morrison Center in Boise as part of the 20/21 Season, it was announced today by Morrison Center Executive Director James Patrick and the Fred Meyer Broadway in Boise series.
The executive director of Boise State University's Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, James Patrick, announced that he will retire from his position this season after eight years of leading Idaho's premier performing arts center. Patrick will continue his role as an adjunct professor with the university's School of the Arts.
The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, originally directed and choreographed on Broadway by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls, The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, opens at the Morrison Center, April 12 - 13, 2019.
