Has anyone seen Idina Menzel's current concert tour?  She is coming to my city next month and is not selling.  I can get a fair seat on groupon for $31 including fees.  Not sure if it is still worth it.  I really wasn't a fan of Kristen and Audra's last concert tours. The Children's Chorus performed more than Kristen at her concert and Audra did quite a bit of standards that I wasn't familiar with.  Thanks for any info you can give.

Saw it at Nassau coliseum.  She was VERY good, great show. Getting to our seats was a train wreck and started off the night badly. But overall she did a good show. I'd say go for it.

If your venue is a Live Nation venue, tickets for her may be part of their Kickoff to Summer promotion next week where tickets are $20, no fees starting Monday. I'm in Cleveland and her show falls under that promotion here.

@z5, Thanks for your response.  April, thank you, thank you, thank you for the Live Nation promotion heads up.  I'm usually on top of such things and didn't know anything about it.  Unfortunately, Idina is not listed as part of the promotion.  But 6 shows I want to see are.  I'm not sure how the promotion works.  Maybe on day 1, the Live Nation page opens with those concerts listed for purchase.

I saw it at the Greek.  I didn't think it was a very good show.  And some of the arrangements especially on her rehashed Streisand routine are awful.  And the endless Let it go thing when she brings up all the kids in the audience up goes on forever.

HUSSY POWER! ------ HUSSY POWER!

ArtMan, you're welcome! If it's set up like last year, you will look up the artist on LiveNation, choose the tour stop that you want and there will be a section to choose the kick off to Summer ticket. I did this last year and it's very easy.

I saw her at the Nassau Coliseum and thought it was an excellent show! She is in fantastic voice. My personal favorites were the Wind Beneath My Wings/Defying Gravity Medley, and her new arrangement of Do You Wanna Build a Snowman (sounds like a dumb song choice, but I LOVED it). I do agree that her Let It Go segment with all the kids goes on for too long, but I would definitely recommend seeing this tour.

I caught her show Friday night.  Although the setlist was okay, I found her personality to be so down to earth and charming, that is what made the performance so good.  She has cleaned up the four letter words in comparison to the last time I saw her in concert.  She stated (paraphrase) that it is hard for her, because her audience is made up of little princesses and Queens.  It's funny that parents bring their toddler children who look so bored until the Frozen numbers are performed.  But all around me were quite well behaved.  I kind of liked when she brought the kids on stage for Let It Go.  I think she has learned when to end it, so it didn't seem to drag on.  Overall, I'm glad I went.

I hope that Menzel worships at the altar of Disney, thanking her lucky stars she was given such a huge song to revive her career (and keep her relevant).

She's always been pitchy.  Her track record for absences is well-known.  She's not the healthiest singer, as evidenced by seeing her in several shows, both musicals and solo, where she's totally winded by the end of the performance.  She's not a workhorse performer.  She never has been

What is with this random nonsense? Did you go to her concert or not? If not, then show yourself out and let the door hit you.

IF/THEN was arguably one of the toughest roles on Broadway where the lead is on stage most of the time, including belt numbers, and she stuck with it for a whole year. Goodness, get over yourself. Your jealousy of her relative success is showing.

Toughest roles on Broadway?  Ok.

If I remember correctly, she missed one performance during her Aida run (I happened to be at that ONE), and her attendance at If/Then was good. Did she even miss a performance of See What I Want To See or Wild Party? Wondering where this "well-known" info of her bad track record is coming from.
