I believe the Ceremony took place over the weekend, no? Were there any performances from Broadway folks? I don't think there was an honoree this year that would have incited a Broadway performance, though.

According to Laura Osnes' Instagram story, Brian Stokes Mitchell got to sing the Star-Spangled Banner and Cynthia Erivo performed The Impossible Dream.

I can't wait until NEXT year's Kennedy Center Honors --- when the honorees will be Ted Nugent, Scott Baio, Gary Busey, Stephen Baldwin and the Duck Dynasty people!

According to Laura Osnes' Instagram story, Brian Stokes Mitchell got to sing the Star-Spangled Banner and Cynthia Erivo performed The Impossible Dream.
Both of which might not make the broadcast. Mitchell sang the anthem, which never is on tv. And Erivo sang in tribute to JFK or something which wasn't part of the 5 honourees sections. So we'll see if that is included.

As the name suggests, the honorees are selected by an executive committee of the board of trustees of the Kennedy Center. The POTUS is not involved in the selection process.
