Does anyone know if Heather Headley is out this whole week/will be out of The Color Purple tomorrow? I was planning on rushing and would really love to see her.

She came back last night, so should be in this whole weekend. I saw the show on Thursday with Karla Stewart's debut as Shug Avery, she was very good for a first time, I think she needs a couple more performances to truly take control of the role.

Telecharge says there are no upcoming scheduled absences for Headley. Erivo has the following dates off though:
*Cynthia Erivo will not perform on Sunday - September 11, Thursday - September 29, Saturday matinee and evening - October 1, and Sunday - November 6.

Earlier this week, Telecharge had this:

Thanks everyone for the help! I checked Telecharge and didn't see anything but got concerned since I had heard she was out, but it makes sense that they took it off since she's back.

I saw the show this afternoon and she was on. And she was magnificent. It was my first time seeing the show, and I thought it was stunning. Erivo is breathtaking, worthy of every bit of praise she has received this past year, and Brooks steals the show with comic gold at every turn.
