If we're in the mood to nitpick, TKTS is actually the name of the booththat sells the discounted tickets. It's not an abbreviation for the tickets themselves.
i would think that tickets will probably be going on sale in mid-June (maybe Tony award Sunday)? if not, I would expect them to wait until September for the fall preview NYTimes- Scott Rudin is still a big believer in print ads- taking on-sale ads out in July / August doesn't have that much bang for the buck- but just speculation on my end so don't yell at me!
