It still hasn't reached 500k, which is its running cost. Not much to rejoice about.
"
I didn't say it had great grosses, but the number continues to get higher and I'm rejoicing that it isn't getting lower.
"
Their grosses may be slightly up, but their average ticket price is down (and are is 3rd from the bottom in terms of average ticket price across the street). I fear they may be burning through audience members and wont survive long past awards season

I'm feeling pretty mixed about Phantom, especially after such a long run. I saw it last Thursday, since it was the only show offering Thursday matinees, and was not very impressed. I sat in the center of front row mezzanine, and my goodness the mezzanine of Majestic is like literally IN THE SKY. Basically the view from my seat was like the rear mezz of Brooks Atkinson, and mind you it has one of the HUGEST mezzanine overhangs in Broadway theaters (the mezz even has more seats than the orch). Performance-wise, the actors were tired and uninspired at best, and many times they didn't even bother to sing out. Many first-timers and tourists were cheering and hollering during the curtain call, but after that I left the theater with a sour taste in the mouth (I did clap through, just fyi). Luckily, I saw The King and I with Mazzie that night and was totally blown away.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Most of these shows should see an increase in sales, right? I live in TN and school ended last week. So considering some states are out of school for the summer, it should be a given most shows see an increase this week. On a personal note....I love American Psycho and glad to see it doing well. I saw Tuck Everlasting Saturday.....it was a bit of a surprise. I actually really liked it. I think the "preview" video they put out sounds awful. But after seeing it, my opinion really changed. They need to redo it. I work for an airline and I see some of these shows while I'm in the city on an overnight. In no order, what I suggest to passengers are Tuck Everlasting, American Psycho and Bright Star. Hope to see the numbers rise for all these shows as the summer begins!

yes. that was literally the second or third thing mentioned in this thread just further up...
Songanddance, it wasn't being mean that was the problem, it was the use of the word "literally". It is literally annoying when people literally use that word literally all the time for literally no reason. Literally.
