If/Then Tour Changes

I have been lucky enough to catch two stops on the If/Then tour (in Costa Mesa - the last week for  Idina/LaChanze/James and in Cincinnati with the new cast).  Both casts were great, and while I love the original cast - I did really enjoy the aspects of the new cast.  Jackie is amazing, btw.

As has been discussed on the previous threads, most content/staging remains the same.  The obvious change is the set.

But here is my question.  All the music  / songs seem to stay the same except "Map of NYC". I love that portion of the show on Broadway, as it really embraced Beth's love of city planning, and the passion she had for putting her fingerprint on NYC.  The tour version cut almost an entire verse of it, and restaged the entire piece.  The first time I saw the tour, I thought maybe I just missed it - but was able to confirm the second time around it was modified.

Has anybody else saw both versions and have thoughts on why the changes were made?  The new set still accommodates the subway graphics - so I don't think it was that.

I thought it was weird that this is a single post; maybe you forgot to reply to the existing thread with an identical title? https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1087203
