the end of "Buddy's Blues" where those insane horns come in doing this very fast descending line. It just is so wonderfully arresting, and practically every recording of that song gets that ending so perfectly.
also, "Being Alive" brings me chills every single time on that last line. It's like hearing someone sing the national anthem
Not so much the "ending" of the number, but the line that Pirelli and the Beadle sing together in the Final Ballad is masterful. Hot tenor-on-countertenor action.

I completely agree! Watching this song performed at the Sondheim Birthday Celebration is one of the most beautiful moments on stage in my recent memory. I always feel like the strings are ascending straight into heaven. Beautiful ending to a great song!
