I'm apprehensive about this doing well, too, because I agree: it is a tough sell. But I hope it does well; it's nice to have Mara Davi back on Broadway.
Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.
Roxy, you are damned lucky that TDF does not know who you are or they would revoke your membership for all these moronic posts.
Do you really think producers who are spending millions of dollars want some message board nitwit posting every single show that comes up on TDF?? And do you really think TDF members need your little public service? We are all grown adults and can check for ourselves, so why don't you go busy yourself by haunting every other thread with your inane comments. How about a 300th post about how you and the missus hated Book of Mormon, because 299 posts about that just were not enough.
If you do not like my posts do not read them. They are not putting shows on TDF because they want to. They need to sell tickets. If they could sell tickets, they would not need TDF.Many people have PM'D me or said on the board how much they appreciated what I was doing. I will continue. If you do not like it, to bad.
I feel you are a moron but that is my personal feelings and many may not agree with me. Take a chill pill dude.
Counting the number of posts I alledgedly made re BOM? Get a life pal . We are getting into scary territory when you count how many posts I alledgedly make on a subject
Is this show produced by 2ST/Second Stage Theater? I'm surprised that Rock of Ages is no longer playing at the Helen Hayes, since I believe it was doing quite well.
I've been a member at tdf for years. I don't remember there ever being a gag order on their listings. Anywhere.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
And how can anyone avoid reading your millions of inane posts when they litter every thread on this board like garbage left in Times Square after New Years Eve.
Now run along and entertain yourself by posting for the 12,000th time about how you and the missus have no intention of seeing Hamilton, but that you wish it well. And please post 290 more messages that end with "time will tell."
I think reviews will be important for this show. People like classic shows like this as we've seen from American in Paris. Its a very small show in a small house so we'll see. reviews reviews reviews
Yeah, the producers of a show (who are sending 16 dates to TDF weeks before their first preview) wouldn't want the word to get out to the very small community of theater enthused individuals on a message board that has no further exposure to anyone on the net other than its readers to help sell performances that are clearly not selling well already, right Matt? Calm down man.
I happen to enjoy Roxy's posts. I am not trolling TDF 24/7 for ticket availability and I also have my filters showing both off and off-off Broadway so sometimes some titles get lost in the mix... so when I pop on here a few times a day it's nice to get the update.
I'm excited too and hope it does very, very well. But, if for nothing else, then to see these six dynamos own the stage. TDF, no TDF, let's just hope for great coverage on BW and other sites while it forms and then let it fly.
Dames is going to be a hard sell, so the producers are doing what any other producer would do under the circumstances - everything in their power to get butts in seats to create word-of-mouth. And TDF is a critical element of this strategy. Thanks for the tip, Roxy. Looking forward to seeing this show.
Recheck your math as I have not posted in any of the million Hamilton threads since right before or after it opened. I openly question your math but I am not spending my time going into each one and count tgem.I will leave that to you.
