The cast recording is out today. It is on Itunes and Amazon. I'm not sure why the American Itunes is having difficulty with releasing albums on time.

Just finished listening and I can't say there was anything in the score that really jumped out at me but that may change with repeated listenings. It sounds like they were going for a mash up between Bring it On and Bombay Dreams and they definitely achieved that. I don't mean that in a bad way. I like both of those scores. For me, at least on record, I felt like the parents had too many ballads and I would have liked some more upbeat stuff especially in the second act. It was recorded live but the applause and audience noise has mostly been erased save for the last track and one moment where I thought I heard some audience laughter. There's a lot here to enjoy but it's hard to say if this show could have commercial appeal to American audiences should they decide to bring it over. It's still a very fun recording though especially for fans of the film obviously.
