Broadway in Chicago's website lists Mamma Mia at the Cadillac Palace in November. Typically they do not put tickets on sale this early. Gentleman's Guide tickets just went on limited presale and that show starts in September.
I'd imagine that eventually MTI will license it. It will probably appeal to many regional theaters and schools, which is unfortunate because I don't think its a very good show
RaiseYouUp: Is that supposed to be helpful in someway? Yes, it will eventually be licensed and some people will like it.
I am asking if it will likely be available by this fall or if the tour is likely to continue and effectively block the licensing rights from being released?
Here is the MTI page for the show. They say the general release is unknown, though they have licensed productions of it running, which means that licensing is available, but just not for everyone.
The tour is definitely booked next season. Ticketmaster is not the main ticket agency for National Tours. Many venues use their own more local or private ticketing agencies. Example.. This years tour is booked through July 5th according to the shows website, but only Memphis (next weekend) is listed on Ticketmaster.
Vancouver has had MM listed as part of their season for months. It will be in Anchorage in January for a week. Not sure when they plan to release for licensing, but next years tour is surely happening (aka..No Lucy Live going on here).
