The King and I post-July

Does anybody know how long the current cast of The King and I is set to remain with the show? I know many speculated that the cast would change as early as July, but I'm asking to see if anybody has any update.

I called Telecharge and the Vivian Beaumont box office. Neither one of them seemed entirely certain, but since they both came up with the same answer I'll go with it for now.

 

UPDATE!! See below. They both said that both stars, Kelli and Ken, were committed for the run of the show, which officially occurs when the second block of tickets runs out in January.

 

This show is listed as having an open run, which confuses me a little. But Kelli did over a year of South Pacific with a few months of pregnancy leave in-between. Paulo Szot lasted the whole two year run.

 

UPDATE!! I got an email from the marketing manager of Lincoln Center Theatre Thursday night.

 

Kelli and Ken are only signed through the original end date of July 5th. She doesn't know yet if there will be cast changes for the show after July 5th. Suggests that I subscribe to the Lincoln Center Theater mailing list at LCT.org to receive news on cast changes.

^Thanks a bunch. I'm now more confident in seeing it this Summer.

 

I was only concerned because I know Ken has a major film coming out this year.

 He might just take some time off for promo if that's the case. I know Santino took a week or so off in total from Cinderella for Frozen Pomo in late 2013

I'm sure Conrad Ricamora will have to take some time off to film season 2 of How to Get Away with Murder as well.

open run musical, opening cast contracts are atleast 6 months, unless they have an out for film/tv
