Starting next week. Anyone going. I have tickets for next Friday. Have any changes been made since last year?

Finally saw this last night and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. It's a fun, well performed show that brings back loads of memories. I recommend but DON'T bring
the kiddies.

One question. Is this a Disney endorsed production? No thank you in the playbill and the only connection is one producer that has extensive Disney work in theaters.
I can't see how Disney is not involved. They even sang a few lines from one very famous song.

^pretty sure it's getting by as a parody (though disney's usually REALLY thorough with these kinds of things). HOWEVER, a lot of the talent in the show is former Disney World/ Orlando area performers. It's great seeing them get the recognition they deserve and I wish them the best DISENCHANTED at The Westside

Disney is definitely not involved. They don't own copyrights on these characters. And they can sing pieces of songs, as Buddy Plummer says, since it's parody.

I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this thread. I've been seeing a great discount code for Disenchanted from Theater Mania and it peaked my interest enough to visit the show's webpage.
I think this is a show that I would enjoy. I take it is geared for adults since it says it is PG-13. Did you for the show to be quite funny ? I'd love to add a good comedy to my line up.
It's great to hear that someone else has seen it and liked it. Plus, that they are using former Disney talent - that must mean the show is really well performed. I think I'll be adding this to my my late April line up.

Does anyone know if they are they planning on recording it?

Saw it in Orlando (with several members of the NY company), and enjoyed it a great deal. I understand they've made several changes since then and the show has gotten even tighter. A highly enjoyable evening.

Michelle Knight, in particular, is outstanding.

I thought it was a fun night out but it got a little tedious after a while. I think it is one of those shows where the performers are so wonderful they raise the level of the material they are given.

I agree with this. But I most definitely agree with adamgreer that Michelle Knight is outstanding as Snow White.

Caught up with this yesterday. First, the cast was solid and did the most, and then some, with the material.

For me it seemed the show always went for the obvious laugh and then milked it to death. The joke happpened right away when a song started and then went on for 9 more minutes. Even at only 90 minutes, it felt long.

The audience ate it all up. They enjoyed talking back to the actors and went all the way with the "female power" stuff.

Parody is tricky. If it's not sharp it deflates.

Good for the actors who came so far with this show- all the way to Off-B'way. I just couldn't enjoy this one.

Interesting, as I kind of felt that 90 minutes was a little long for this one when I saw it in Orlando. It could definitely lose about 10 minutes from its running time, and I thought this was one of the issues they were going to address between Orlando and off-Broadway.

I think that was my problem with it too. While I really enjoyed some songs, in others the joke just dragged on too long (and felt even longer with the ballads).  It was still a fun mental break for me though.

I agree with what a lot of other posters have said. The show is kind of good but feels very long. I checked the time when I started to get bored and it had only been an hour. I didn't know how they were going to fill the next 30 mins but somehow it kept going. To me it was something that could have benefitted from a two drink minimum.

The cast was definitely game for everything though. I know people are praising Michelle Knight but I found her performance to be way too muggy. Part of that is the characterization of Snow White but it still rubbed me the wrong way. The highlight for me was Lulu Picart. I loved every song she sang and she had a great great voice that I'd love to hear again. While I thought Soara-Joye Ross was good I found the Princess Who Kissed the Frog to be superfluous since she's the only person aside from the main three who only play one princess. Like they needed her just for the black princess joke and nothing more.

If you miss out on this one you won't be too upset.
