"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

If this constitutes paying BWW to advertise oneself, you should be on Bernadette's payroll.

The interesting thing about social media art is that, for better or for worse, it levels the playing field. If you're not actually a MAJOR MEDIA FIGURE that no one can deny is famous and carries cultural cache, you trade on what you've got, or what you don't have (don't got?), and just hope people respond to it.

You can't force viral, as we've seen so often lately. Morgan James is a minor Broadway figure with a little bit of TV work. Patti and Emily are two nobodies in New York. Both of them are working hard to make it on YouTube. Who's got more followers and generates more discussion, I wonder?

Has she given her opinion on Into the Woods yet? She's the true expert after all.

Yawn...well after that I feel yes and having a publicist with relations with BWW in the realm of a paid for press release-sponsor like ad on BWW.

Please, bww "reports" on any actor that even TNOUGHT about appearing on bway...doesn't make it news.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Haha. Tell me about it!
