Not So Silent Night

Tonight I went to the Not So Silent Night concert by live 105.3 in Oakland. It was the best festival I've been to in the past few months.

Here was the lineup:
Vance Joy: A little quiet, but pretty decent. I knew the last two songs and they came off very well
Spoon: The band itself was super strange, and I wasn't too familiar with their work, but I liked what I heard
Cage The Elephant: Sorry to say but they weren't very good live. The lead singer gave it his all, but he just seemed to be trying to hard and his mic was not turned up high enough
Interpol: Loud noise and very dull
Alt-J: They don't do much for the audience, but I think their music is brilliant.
Imagine Dragons: Fabulous. The lead singer has a kind of charisma that is difficult to find. The whole band seemed to be having a great time and were very gracious.

Overall it was a highly enjoyable concert, and the last two bands made it worth the price of admission. I couldn't afford to go both nights, but I heard good things about Friday.
