Thanks for sharing this Namo. Donna had such an amazing, powerful, beautiful voice. This is one of my favorite songs from the score. She did a wonderful job!
She auditioned for the Hair cast in NY, but Melba Moore got the part and Donna agreed to do it in Munich, where she met her first husband who was also in that cast. She became fluent and went on to do Godspell there as well.
Donna singing "The Flesh Failures" at around 2:30:
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
She can also be heard on the German Hair Black Boys/White Boys. SHe also did productions of Porgy and Bess and SHowboat (I think just chorus) in Germany in that era, but sadly they're not recorded. Then she became a demo/backing singer (and most German pop music by then was recorded in English), ended up working with Moroder and Belotte, and the rest is history
