Saw this twice in Denver before it opened on Broadway. It was in a very small theater. Loved it. Had no desire to see it in NY as I couldn't see it working in a large house. And it didn't.
Oh my God. You mean she screamed at people in a smaller theater? I imagine it would be something like when the bad kids go to prisons and they have the inmates scare them by getting in their faces and yelling at them. Was it like that?
BKLYN has become something of a gold standard among my friends ...... whenever we see some really terrible show, someone invariably will say "well, at least it's better than BKLYN!".

I actually enjoyed BKLYN. Sure it had many flaws, but it also had some great moments. Some of those costumes became inspiration for some great projects I did, and I still hum some of the music. I've enjoyed it more then several shows i've seen since. So happy Broadway is a place with something for all sorts of tastes.
