I have no idea, however I attended a talk she did with Michael Kahn (Classic Conversations) in Washington D.C. in February and I distinctly remember her saying that it would have to be a REALLY great show/role, which makes sense when you hear her talk about theatre now-a-days compared to what it used to be. I think I even remember her saying that she wouldn't care if it was off-Broadway or not, which I loved hearing her say.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure she's going to be in the Los Angeles Opera in The Ghosts of Versailles next year, I think?
Well, La LuPone is now a new cast member for Season 2 of the Showtime series PENNY DREADFUL so don't expect to see her on Broadway any time soon. Not in anything new which would require an extended amount of her commitment which would interfere with her duties on that cable series.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I think that would be a terrible casting choice, and an even worse career move. She's performing Monday night in the Gershwin at the Uprising of Love performance. I just got tickets on tix4students.com.
I think she should play Major-General Stanley in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE because I think it would be hilarious to have Patti's diction on the infamous song from that show.

"Why would that be a terrible choice just_john. And an even terrible career choice?"
Couldn't agree with you more Phillypinto. I think Patti, a legendary leading lady with a legendary ego to match would think that being the 5th replacement Berthe, a small supporting role in a 2 year old show would be the perfect next role for her. I can't understand why everyone can't see what you and I see. Can you just imagine seeing her yelling from the trapeze at an audience member whose phone went off? Broadway gold.
Who cares it's a great role and she's been a replacement before and it's a great part And why does everybody up on this board always get sassy for no reason at all really lmao

Don't feel bad. At least you can still show your mom how many people responded to your eloquently stated thread asking for a list of performers "who really sucked in their show".
