How difficult has it been recently? Where are the seats generally? I see on ticketmaster that there are $50 balcony seats, and I'm wondering whether that would be a better option if the lottery is too hard to win. Do they usually sell out the balcony, or would it be possible for me to buy a balcony ticket after losing the lotto?
(I see it looks pretty crowded on Rush Report, but I don't really trust them that much, as I have found their info to sometimes be pretty inaccurate)
I was helping a friend lotto it this past Friday night and it was pretty packed. Must have been 50 people there atleast, if not 75. After the winners were announced though the lotto guy did say the perf wasn't completely sold out. So not sure there would be $50 seats left but there will be tickets left afterwards.
That lottery is always packed. I would say about 100 people enter. Disney is VERY good at getting everyone through that process very quickly (whereas the Wicked lotto goes on for 20 minutes after the names are drawn.) The only thing I dislike about the lottery besides not winning is the timing. Unlike Wicked the drawing doesn't happen on the hour of the lottery, it can be confusing.
I just noticed that the $50 seats that Ticketmaster is selling are marked as "behind a pipe." Has anyone sat in these seats? Is the view very obstructed? I'm having trouble picturing what this "pipe" is.
