Hey guys, I just wanted to start a thread for the BC/EFA auction items this season. Read on Twitter that Beautiful is selling signed posters and Playbills (though no mention of the price) and something about an auction item? What are other shows selling and for how much?

Usually the signed posters go for around $100. Depends on the show.

Really? they must have increased in the last year, as the last few years I have been going, the posters were going for donations of 40-60 Dollars. But then, that was only at the shows I went to. 100 seems pretty high- just saying. Not saying what you are saying isn't true, just that 100 is a lot. LOL.

The windowcard prices are highly variable, as one might expect. Each show sets its own price. Several shows have sold them for at least $200 (the big musical with all the buzz or the play with the big movie star). I believe A Steady Rain was $350. I saw Natasha, Pierre, and I think their smaller-sized-poster was $10. $75 or $100 is a pretty common price point for a new musical. Long-running shows charge less, and most plays do, too.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

The upside of buying BC/EFA stuff is that it's tax deductible. So, as a contract worker who gets a huge tax hit each year as a result, it is nice to know anything I donate to BC/EFA helps bring my tax bill down a bit... AND I get a show or posters in the process! BC/EFA Spring 2014

In November/December, I think it was $80 for Big Fish, and $100 each for Twelfe Night and Matilda. I have to say, there is nothing cuter than a Matilda poster with the young cast block lettering in their first names.

Now t/d/b/a haterobics on here.

What's the time frame on collections? Starting and ending I mean. Last year I got a 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' poster w/Scarlett on it for I think $100? Could've been $200. 'Big Fish' was $80, which seems for reasonable for a show like 'Beautiful' I mean, yes Jessie is brilliant, but what's the draw there? Hoping to snag a few things the first weekend of April- I'm thinking 'If/Then' things will be outrageously priced.

The Evita tour just started last week. In Charlotte, signed posters were $80 (but they were local, not the general tour windowcard), Playbills were $40, and "And the Money Kept Rolling In..." BC/EFA buttons for $5.

Bobby Steggert attempted to auction off Grayson Taylor after the show the other day at Mothers and Sons. He costs $1000.

Pippin was collecting money tonight- They were offering posters for 80.00- I caved and bought one. LOL. Annie Potts gave the speech and was adorable!
BTW- Erik Altemus is even more dreamy up close in costume!

BC/EFA Spring 2014

Tonight at Cinderella they were collecting- Signed Posters were 100 and Signed Playbills were 40.00. They were only signed by the principals though- at least I believe so, at first Fran said it was signed by the principals, but later she said it was signed by the entire cast- it looked like it was only signed by a few from what I could see from the audience. Fran Drescher gave the speech , and was really funny. After she said the price of the poster, she turned to the playbill and said “And these are… what are these.. like 10.00?” and the cast corrected her and said “40.00” to which she did her signature laugh in embarrassment- probably the same speech every night, but still really funny. Some of the cast were in the lobby collecting and photos with them were 5.00.

Wow! I wish I could get one! I bet they will sell well given that Fran does not sign at the stage door. Oh well. I really wish I lined in NYC and not Louisville!

You should be fine, they generally collect right up until the BC/EFA Easter Bonnet, which this year is in late April.

I was at Kinky Boots on Wed for the matinee and Andy Kelso did the speech for them. They had the Kinky Boots apron's going for $40 and the signed posters were going for $100. They also had a custom pair of Kinky boots made to your size which the whole cast would sign and would be sent to you in a Price and Sons box for $1200

I was at Kinky Tonight and they had the posters and boots, but no aprons- Billy gave the speech.

Gentleman's Guide finally started collections today (I think it was the first day for them). Signed playbills for $20 and posters for $40. Bryce Pinkham and Jefferson Mays made the speech.
