Maybe it was more than a coincidence that Sly was just on SNL . Since Rocky started it all for him he might be there to meet and greet ticket buyers .Some nice pr .

I'm sorry, is the opening of the box office USUALLY eventful? (and yes, I'm truly asking.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

dramamama- I've noticed that in the last year or so box offices have made a small event out of it by having cast members present or giving gifts to the first people in line to buy a ticket. Some recent examples being Bridges to Madison County, which gave gift bags; Cabaret where they had a drawing for prizes including a Roundabout subscription, merchandise and some other stuff... as well as free refreshments; and Big Fish gave out free ice cream.

The press release on the other board also said they are doing $76 tickets in honor of the 1976 film
