(Not chastising...but) that article was posted here before, so you might not get lots of feedback. I think it got a lot of attention fro the boards at that time.

These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
This is interesting but it all hinges on the accuracy of the garbage cans. It's quite possible that they were placed in the photo as props and weren't actually from that location. I'll be having lunch with Carol Lawrence in a few days and will see how good her memory is about this.
Don't bother to ask Carol Lawrence dollypop, West 56th Street is not the location. They actually were running down 125th Street between 7th and 8th but they decided the garbage cans in that neighborhood did not reflect the ambiance of Hell's Kitchen, so the prop man took garbage cans from W. 56th Street and they placed them in the Harlem neighborhood they were shooting for authenticity.
