Not surprising, but it had a fair run. I appreciate it's effort and am thankful that at least one new musical this season will not be based on a movie. Good luck to all involved.
Bummer. It was a fun and quirky little show thay wad a nice counterbalance to all the overblown theatrical productions on the Rialto right now. I'm actually listening to the cast recording right now.
Here's hoping Levi returns soon.

I saw the show last weekend and really enjoyed it - it's quirky, fun, and just a good time. The cast is really top notch, and they really make so much of the material that they're given. Maybe they'll find their way to New World, which seems like perhaps a better fit? Either way, very sad to hear it's closing and I hope to catch it again before the fifth.

I actually really enjoyed it. It's not high-brow, but I thought Levi was really great. Hopefully he's remembered come Tony time. And I think this will live on in regional theaters.
Thank god my friend and I decided for this to be one of our fall shows that we see and not spring! I've heard nothing but great things and I love the soundtrack! I can't wait to see it next weekend.
I really thought it was a fun, enjoyable show, if not a big and splashy one. This is a good run.
I'm not surprised about the closing date. I read an interview with Zac Levi that said his contract was up in early January unless he renewed it. It seems like a convenient time to close the show.
I absolutely loved this show! So much fun and the cast esp. Zachary and Krysta are great. It is not a surprise that it's closing tho I'm just so happy it's going to be playing through the New Year instead of closing later this month. Hopefully Zac does Broadway again soon and same goes for everyone else in that show!
Strangely. Just saw it tonight on a whim. I really thought it was cute quirky and fun. Levi surpassed my expectations. Krysta did a great job making her less than lovable character lovable. Kristoffer Cisick is a treat. And Hammond, lopreat, Ryness and chase we're really multi talented
Too bad it is closing but I am glad I went tonight
I thought the moment at the end when the set moves away was really actually very beautiful. It was a well done show, and they should all be proud, and live off all the royalties from amateur productions.
I'm a fan of the show, but in all honesty, I feel like it belongs to an Off-Broadway stage.

I should get over to this. sad news for a talented company of actors. Unfortunately, this was a missed opportunity for a clever headline - "First Date Has Last Date."
everything happens in threes. I guess Big Fish will be next.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I know it's highly unlikely, but weirder things have happened - do you think the show could possibly move to New World? With Peter and the Starcatcher closing, there seems to be a fairly prime spot for it, if the producers would be willing to move it.

I am sad to hear this, but happy I will get to see it in December

They should be proud that they ran longer than many people expected (including me). I admit that I found it as bland and juvenile as shows with shorter runs, like Taller Than A Dwarf, 13, Dance of the Vampires, A Class Act, Lestat, High Fidelity, etc., as well as many that never even made it to Broadway, like Little Fish or Happiness.
I saw the show on a whim. I enjoyed it, but I didn't thoroughly enjoy it. It is a very fun idea, but it could have been better executed. The cast is fantastic and I am glad that they had a decent run!
