Laura was excellent last night. I'm so used to seeing her comedic performances and it was nice to be reminded what a fine dramatic actress she is.
There's room for her to come back and be a recurring character in Holmes' orbit.
Elementary is one of the better procedurals around, devoting more time to character development than most. It's also fun to see all the New York talent each week in the guest star spots. Laura Osnes and Steve Kazee were on last week; Kazee is SO going to turn out to be evil!
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
Looks like Elementary is the new LAW and ORDER for Broadway Stars...
I havent seen last nights ep yet, but last week, Laura Osnes looked soooo cute in her glasses, she proves shes more than an ingenue.
It was sooo good to see Steve on there, looks like he will be back too!!

How about she's a f-cking Tony award winner, so stories about her are more than welcome on the main board, especially considering that Glee threads here are a dime a dozen
Can we just all block/ignore Sutton Ross like it happened to suestorm?
Laura Benanti is truly brilliant. She has completely reinvented herself as this great character actress after THE WEDDING SINGER. I thought she was wonderful in the underrated GO ON last year, she and Julie White were great in it together. I have to check out this episode of ELEMENTARY now.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I remember the (perhaps justified) complaints that Laura Benanti was completely wrong for Wedding Singer. Boy hasn't she proven herself as an excellent comedienne as well as a heartbreaking dramatic actress since then!
A little off-topic but Laura also just booked a recurring role on Nurse Jackie, reuniting her with her Go On co-star, and no stranger to Broadway, Julie White.
