Granted, he may have a bit of a case if the story about the computer needing to be recalibrated is true, but if he was fully aware of that then why didn't he refuse to fly until it was fixed?
He does have a case. All the producers had to do in order for him to have a case was be misleading in terms of how dangerous a situation he was getting into. I think that he knew that he was getting into a dangerous situation but didn't expect the kinds of injuries he sustained from doing the show.
