There is one troll in particular (main board) that I suspect of having numerous pseudonyms - I won't name names, but I'm fairly convinced that he has many aliases that he rolls out over time.

Of course, I could be wrong - but trolling/sock-puppetry in general makes me paranoid and untrusting.

And sometimes, it's so obvious. But I've never seen someone create a thread about themselves to be negative. I'm sure it was an attempt to be funny. It was unsuccessful.

And there's also this other kid, who has never corrected me when I have brought up that he has had many names. Now he's just trying too hard. And that says a lot, coming from me.

I agree about the trust thing. The fact is, this is a community of sorts, and though people communicate via aliases and avatars, you expect them to stay who they are so that there's some continuity to the exchange.

And yes, the implication that we're too stupid to figure it out (which is the case 0 percent of the time) is just insulting.

Remember when CountA tried to pretend to be a disgruntled liberal struggling? Pathetic.

You mean TooDarnHot? At least that's one of the names. He's been called out so many times it just gets boring. It's really not hard to spot him.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly who you're talking about Jay. I called him out on one of them last week and he PMd saying I was right and then challenged me to tell him what other screen names I thought were his.

I obviously didn't respond. But the clues are there if you look close enough.
