Writing this on my phone, so sorry for any mistakes.
Saw Clybourne Park at MTC tonight, a smart, shocking, outrageously funny play about racism in American. Spanning a fifty year period, act one set in 1958, with act two set in 2008.
Alison Whtye's "Bev" in the first act is a masterclass in acting, a woman who's world will never be the same. Greg stone as her husband Russ is also impressive as a man slowly unraveling and pushed over the edge when the truth about the sale of the house and why, is revealed in a racism fueled conformation. That will make you laugh out loud and than squirm in your seat.
MTC has discovered a major find in Zahara Newman ( Francine the maid in Act one and Lena in Act two )
Lena in Act two has one of the most offensive lines in the play and after the shock, you will be roaring with laughter!
If you have a chance, catch this stunning production.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.
