Playwrights Horizons Online Auction

Hey guys,

Every year, Playwrights Horizons holds a big auction as a fundraiser, and, looking at this year's listings thus far, they've got a lot of cool packages and opportunities that I figured I'd pass on.

It's a worthy cause considering all proceeds from this auction will support the six play/musical season, their awesome theatre development programs, audience development activities, a resident internship program, their Playwrights Horizons Theater School at NYU, and Ticket Central, which is their online box-office system that serves much of off-Bway and is available to the entire performing arts community.

Some of the notable packages up for bidding include: tickets, dinner, and backstage tours of SISTER ACT (visit with Victoria Clark), CMIYC (visit with Aaron Tveit), ANYTHING GOES (visit with Sutton Foster) ARCADIA, BABY IT'S YOU, MAMMA MIA, JERSEY BOYS, MEMPHIS (visit with Chad Kimball), PHANTOM, ADDAMS FAMILY (visit with Roger Rees); passes and packages for WILLIAMSTOWN THEATRE FESTIVAL, HUMANA THEATRE FEST, O'NEILL THEATRE CENTER (summer season), and a cool Chicago package (with Goodman, Steppenwolf, and Equity Joseph Jefferson Awards tickets).

They've also got a signed Albee play collection, a 30 ROCK set visit with signed swag, and cool Playwrights Horizons items (subscriptions and Artistic Director/Literary staff/Musical Theatre staff-for-a-day's).

Seriously a lot of really cool items and opportunities.

Hey Everyone!

Today is the LAST DAY for the PH Online Auction, with even more items added and all proceeds going towards a great cause.

Some of the new Bway show packages recently added to the ones I mentioned last time include RENT's return (with a Meet & Great w/Michael Greif), WICKED (with Dinner w/Stephen Schwartz and a backstage visit), HOW TO SUCCEED (with a backstage visit w/Mary Faber), SPIDER-MAN, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST (with a backstage visit w/Brian Murray), and SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK.
