I don't really know much about the show. But I think it's quite different than the show that premiered in 1989. Just the song titles are very different. To be honest I only listened to it because of Michael Ball :)
YouTube has a clip of Judy and Grahame singing "It's Only Love" on the Terry Wogan show. Which is how I first came to hear of it. A friend included that clip at the end of a tape she sent me.

Vox Lumieres Metropolis is headed to Wilmington, Delaware in April. I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not. I thought about checking it out, but wasnt sure what to think of it. Vox Lumieres Metropolis
I loved Margo's review of In My Life, the opening line "Margo is Tired" is a classic..
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

How did you get the rights to the show since Brooks' death? I thought the show was off limits! I so wish I could come. Not in the cards financially (from IL) nor able to get out of more work (in hospital on sudden extended sick leave). I would like to email you. How do I do so?
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
If anyone is interested, the Eastlight Theatre 1993 American production of Metropolis (in East Peoria, IL, directed by Eddie Urish) is now up on YouTube in whole. Below are the links to both acts. There are also links up for the 95 El Paso production in whole, and a few scenes (with horrible footage and some garbled sound from the 1990 El Paso production). Ours (Eastlight's) has some differences that I think really mellow out the musical... and I think make it more entertaining and watchable. The 95 version is a lot more like what would have been done in London. Please leave feedback here or there!
