Just bought a pair for Bette's currently scheduled final performance on 1/14/18.  Surprised there were so many seats available.

Just bought a pair for Bette's currently scheduled final performance on 1/14/18.  Surprised there were so many seats available.

January 14, 2018 was the last performance date of the first block of tickets released when tickets went on sale.  Never once was it stated or implied that was Bette Midler's final performance in HELLO, DOLLY!  Rumor has it that she is leaving in late December or around that time.  No misrepresentation was done by the box office as it was never advertised as January 14th is Bette's final performance.  You are right now assuming and purchased tickets at your own risk as she could have either left the show by then or extended and MAY be performing on that date.

Back in September of last year, both Playbill and Broadway.com reported that "Representatives for the production stated that Midler is scheduled to appear at all performances currently on sale via Telecharge."

At that time the Donna Murphy performances were not on sale but all other performances through January 14, 2018 were.

Well the big BETTE MIDLER HELLO DOLLY Logo is attached to all tickets currently on sale and they've been very clear about which performances Midler is not performing.  The 1/14 tickets have no such disclaimer  so if she is in fact leaving before the last day of this sales block, unless they get a star equally as exciting, they will be refunding alot of tickets.

Here's where I'm sitting Aug. 31. I think it's damned good for the balcony.  B 18.

That is incorrect.  Bette Midler's name is NOT printed on any of the tickets (physical or printed-out) released for HELLO, DOLLY! which protects them from any misrepresentation in the event she was to miss a performance, etc.

I'm talking about the flag on the Telecharge webpage as well as the confirmation email I received when I bought my tickets.  Clearly states Bette Midler Hello Dolly, I have the email and will use it to obtain my refund should Midler's last day be before 1/14.

Also consider the possibility that Bette will be skipping Wednesday matinees as I personally experienced last Wednesday. Maybe she never should have agreeded to 7 performances a week. Scott Rudin take note. We purchased our tix last October.

Pretty sure that was a one time thing.

BrodyFosse often makes stuff up as he goes along, or maybe he gets confused. Once he tried to tell us he saw Wicked in 2002 and no amount of people correcting him could sway him. I also have tickets to the January 14th performance and I'm not worried about Bette not being there.

Then why are they suddenly selling tix at discount booth when top premium tix are $750

Because they aren't, that's why. Donna's shows have been discounted, not Bette's.

I don't know why some people like to make up stuff, but I saw the show from the balcony and this is a tiny tiny Broadway theater, the view was amazing from the balcony.

Saw it Friday evening.  Front Row Right Mezz.   There is a small bar that is at the end of the aisle   I was in the first seat on the aisle.  The bar did block my view---it was in the sight line right above the orchestra pit.   I was able to look under the bar or raise up and look over it and did not miss anything.   My daughter was in the second seat off the aisle and had a perfect view.

Also---Bette was amazing!    Donna is more technically precise, but Bette was Bette!  :)
