Really? I thought it was pretty easy to follow and I love the cast. Hopefully the writing will get a little sharper but it was only the first episode so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Glad you got it. A friend of ours in our building watched it and was bewildered as well. We will try it again and see what happens. Part of the problem following it is the barrage of commercials every 5 minutes. In the 60 min time slot, at least half was taken up be commercials. Hope springs eternal re us getting it .
Enjoyed it as well, looking forward to see how it plays out. The one thing I do like about it, it's ten episodes long and than it ends
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Okay, so dang it, brothers and sisters, I am here to confess: I am one of those people. You know, the ones who aren't patient enough to allow a story to just play out, but who have to seek out answers before they are meant to be learned. So yea ... just looked up what the book (first one anyway) is about and assume the tv show will keep following the same basic plot. I know. I am a horrible human being. So ashamed of myself.
SNAFU, my husband said it reminded him of The Prisoner. It also reminded me a little of parts of A Boy and His Dog, just the fake-happy-wholesomeness of the town.
Just finished the first book and now moving on to the second. I am really interested to see how they do this next part... They are going to have to up the CG, for certain. They covered 2/3 of the first book in the first two episodes, so I guess they will cover the trilogy, in the series.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Yes, I agree w A Boy and His Dog. ( esp the original story) a definite influence not necessarily tho the "Fake" forced yes fake not so much. (subtle difference)
As a sci fi (sic) reader for decades the reveal on this one took be pretty much by surprise, which I liked. (OK not TOTally by surprise but just dismissed the possibility)
I'm really loving this show. I looked up the cast on imdb and it lists Juliette Lewis as being in 10 episodes, so I'm a bit intrigued by that. Not sure if it's correct, but I hope it is.
It reminds me a bit of CABIN IN THE WOODS, in a way. I just want him punch Melissa Leo over and over and over and over and over again.
Starting to pick up speed & make sense. I understand about 1/2 way thru it is all explained. Never read the novels so I came into this out of left field.
