The cast was finally announced this morning. Quite a few exciting queens, but with many of them it felt like Ru is sticking to a formula. Guess we'll find out soon enough! What are your thoughts?

Truly loving Eureka, Sasha, and Peppermint. Also intrigued by Alexis, who seems like a more polished Jinkx, and Aja, who looks gorgeous. Jaymes also seems bonkers and I hope she sticks around for a while. Kimora and Valentina impressed me the least- I expect one of them to sashay first.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Peppermint was one of the first queens I saw when I moved to NYC, and I use to love when she would host CATTLE CALL at Therapy.
Alexis will be put into the Roxxy mold. Their visual aesthetics are quite similar. I have seen a handful of her shows and The sole highlight was her "Into the Woods" quick change from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DRAG? which be a,e popular online. (Side note: that costume was concocted by William Ivey Long's CINDERELLA associate, so it was the Marie to Godmother change verbatim.)
So excited for Alexis Michelle! A total theater queen/Broadway lover who went to UMich for Musical Theater. Can't wait to see her looks and snatch game character (if she makes it that long).
Broadway.com recently interviewed her and she discuses her 54 Below shows! :
Just based on the MTQ videos, I am really liking Alexis, Eureka, Shea, and Peppermint. I think Charlie could be fun. Nina can certainly paint, but there is already controversy. It should all be interesting. The cast as a whole looks polished and fun. Jaymes seems way out of depth.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
someone in the RPDR subreddit pointed out Jaymes reminded them of Cristin Milioti's character from 30 Rock... the whole sexy baby thing wasn't an act, she was a very sexy baby.
one of my favorites is Charlie Hides, i think she's hilarious. Her Lana Del Rey impression is eerie.

Rumors are all over the place, the strongest rumor was March 9th, but at this point it is way too soon without an announcement, so very unlikely.
The next most likely date is the week of March 27th (perhaps the 30th) since Logo is airing a RPDR marathon leading up to that week, and it's even unclear if this season will air on Thursdays still.
Overall, it's been a mess and something must be happening behind the scenes for this lazy handling of dates (Viacom/Logo is going through some sh*t, so I wouldn't doubt that is a cause).
TheSassySam, I think most gay bars - at least down 9th ave - having viewing parties, but we always tend to go to The Ritz - which is in Hell's Kitchen. They usually get a few of the Queens to host and wander around during the show. It's a lot of fun and always packed.
The kickoff costumes are stunning. It really feels like queens this seasons have stepped it up several notches, especially following that phenomenal All Starz season.

I'm very excited for Valentina, Sasha Velour, and Alexis Michelle! Not a huge fan of Kimora Blacc or Aja, and I'm still on the fence about Eureka and Trinity Taylor.

The left half of that dress (Good Witch side?) is ... Alexis' promo shoot dress in a different shade? I do love the video, thanks for posting JerseyGirl2. Also, I strongly feel Alexis got the worst photoshop job. Portions of her costume were turned red which removed any class from that dress. You can see how elegant she looks in those 2-min interviews.
Update - I love that song. Geez. Very rarely do we get songs in deluxe editions which are actually worth buying the extended album.

It was a very weird first episode. I missed the LSFYL and legit runway. I guess they just wanted to fit in as much Gaga as they could. I love this cast. I don't think the returning queen will be much competition, but I guess we will see.

I fee like next week will almost serve as a part two to the opener, with a true runway, LSFYL, and an elimination. I can almost guarantee it's Cynthia Lee Fontaine coming back, which would be fun!
I think Jaymes, Kimora, and Charlie are on their way out. My top three is Sasha, Nina, and Valentina, with Alexis, Eureka, Peppermint, and Shea making it at least halfway through.

I found it to be an odd episode as well- love Gaga and she was certainly game, but it felt far too centered on her. I also thought announcing the lack of a LSFYL early on really killed the tension. Early favorites are without a doubt Sasha and Nina. Eureka and Alexis did quite nicely as well. Not at all taken with Jaymes, Kimora, or Trinity. I could see Jaymes stepping it up, since she seems delightfully bonkers, but Kimora feels like Gia Gunn 2.0. Still, so totally thrilled this show is back!
