It's not on Netflix (DVD only), Hulu, or Amazon Video (you have to buy it). I think you best bet if you want to stream is to buy it on Amazon Video. I just ended up buying both seasons on DVD because I love the physical presence of them in my house.
And I highly recommend watching it if you're a theater lover. People had increasingly conflicted opinions about the show as it progressed, but it has a brilliant soundtrack, production value, and an absolute star in Megan Hilty.

If you don't want to spring for the DVD's you can always check with your local library. My system has multiple copies of both seasons; you also get the extras, songs, numbers and deleted scenes.
Thanks Valentina and Steve! Sadly I do not have a dvd player. I used to be able to play them on my macbook, but I've upgraded laptop and no more dvd/cds I'm afraid. I'll check out Amazon video. Maybe I'll break down and buy a dvd player..

I loved it also even with some flaws. Looking back, the cast was amazing and if the writing had been better this show could have run 4-5 seasons.
Sadly, because I'm in Canada, I cannot stream through NBC or Amazon. I ended up buying it on iTunes and watched first 2 episodes last night. So far I'm hooked - the casting is amazing for me - to see everyone I love on Broadway. One thing I wondered about - did Katherine McPhee ever star in anything on Broadway? I remember her from American Idol days but haven't followed her at all. I have to admit - if there's one thing I'm not really liking - its her voice. Doesn't compare to Megan Hilty (imo).

Ha. Ha. Ha. You basically described why no one in theater world bought the biggest dramatic tension of the show. Megan Hilty was far superior in every way - look, voice, acting, likeability.

She has a very good pop voice and has made a couple of good albums. Megan Hilty does have a better voice and is better suited for Broadway but that does not mean IMO that Katharine McPhee is not a good singer. I think she was a better dancer than Megan Hilty in the "Bombshell" dance numbers. She has also been on the TV show "Scorpions" which will begin its fourth season this fall. She just wrapped up Lifetime movie which had Cuba Gooding directing so she has done pretty well since SMASH ended. As for SMASH, I will not give away how it ended for you but I think most fans were happy in the end.

I always thought it would have been more realistic if she was actress struggling to get out of the ensemble and Megan Hilty was the talented newcomer everyone was obsessed with.
But her voice does suit the songs in season 2 much more than any of the songs from Bombshell.
