The Wetumpka Depot Players hold auditions for A SOUTHERN EXPOSURE, a comedy-drama today, July 30 and Tuesday July 31st at 7pm at the Depot Theatre, 300 S Main Street.

It is the story of Callie Belle Hurt whose idea of love is so unrealistic it could be lifted from the pages of a romance novel. Raised by Hattie, her sassy, Bible-thumping grandmother with a cast-iron will and her two eccentric aunts, Callie Belle stuns her family when she announces that she has fallen in love and is moving to New York to live with her boyfriend. What follows is a story based on acceptance, friendship and the fiercest kind of love.

The play will be directed by Kristy Meanor, Depot executive director and will be the 2012 entry to the Alabama Conference of Theatre community theatre festival in October 2012. The play will also open the 33rd Depot season in January 2013. The script calls for three females ages 55 and above and one female 20s to early 30s.
