Everyman Theatre Announces New Additions to Board of Directors, Officers

Everyman Theatre has announced its new officers and the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. These additions and appointments to the board ensure Everyman will continue to benefit from a diversity of experience and opinions.

Susan W. Flanigan will become President of the Board. Bridget M. Horner will join W. Bryan Rakes (who began his term last year) as Vice Presidents.Marci I. Gordon will become Secretary and Johnnie L. Lewis will become Treasurer. Edie Brown, Diane Cho, Mark Paul Lehman and Dr. Stanley Miller will join the Board of Directors starting this September.

Susan W. Flanigan has been appointed to the role of President of the Board. She has served on the Board of Directors for three years including last year's term as Vice President. As an alumna of the drama program at Goucher College, Mrs. Flanigan was an early lover of theatre. In addition to her dedication to Everyman, Susan worked with the City, State, friends and family to raise $2 million for the creation of Pierce's Park - a green space on Baltimore's Inner Harbor - in memory of her husband Pierce J. Flanigan, III.

Bridget M. Horner will join W. Bryan Rakes as Vice Presidents of the Board. Mr. Rakes, a partner at Venable LLP, began his Vice Presidential term with the theatre last Season. Ms. Horner is the Vice President of Information Technology with Constellation Energy Nuclear Group. She holds an MBA in Business Administration from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.

Marci I. Gordon was a partner in Ballard Spahr's Baltimore office from 2006 until 2012. She specialized in commercial real estate. In addition to being a part of Everyman's board for nine years now, she is also a member of the University of Pennsylvania's Baltimore metropolitan region Secondary School Committee and a former member of the Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore's Young Leadership Council. In 2012 she was named as one of The Daily Record's Top 100 Women and in 2010, she was named one of The Daily Record's Leading Women.

Johnnie L. Lewis joined the Board in 2011. He has over 10 years experience in public accounting and business advisory services. He is an ethical professional with extensive experience in BioPharmaceutical and venture capital industries, financial reporting, and transaction analysis. Mr. Lewis has also worked with startup and mid-size companies to design and implement strategic plans for growth. He will serve as the Board's new Treasurer.

Edie Brown joins the Board after contracting as a public relations consultant during the theatre's Grand Opening last January. With years of media, public and community relations experience to her name, Ms. Brown is the President of Edie Brown & Associates. Her extensive background includes work ranging from education and the arts to retail, sports, entertainment, community service and travel tourism. Her impressive client list currently includes About Faces Day & Medical Spas, Dunkin' Donuts, Feld Entertainment, Patricia and Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric, and McHenry Row.

Diane Cho is a founding principal of Cho Benn Holback + Associates, a multi-disciplinary architecture firm located in Baltimore, Maryland. Cho Benn Holback + Associates was the architecture firm that Everyman worked with to complete the design of its new home on Fayette Street. Ms. Cho has specialized experience in the areas of cultural, educational and institutional buildings. She directs multi-disciplinary teams from master planning through site design, architectural design and construction documents on individual projects. She is also currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Board of Visitors of Towson University, and serves as Chair of the Maryland Board of Architects.

Mark Paul Lehman serves as Vice President and Senior Council of Colfax Corporation, a global supplier of a range of fluid handling products such as pumps and specialty valves. He has been with the company for nearly three years now. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. In the past, Mr. Lehman served as the Board President of Moveable Feast.

Dr. Stanley Miller has been a Director on the American Board of Dermatology since 2009 and a Director on the American Board of Medical Specialties since 2012. He attendEd Williams College and the University of Vermont School of Medicine. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Miller was on the faculty of Johns Hopkins from 1992-2002 during which time he attained the rank of Associate Professor, was the Director of the Division of Dermatologic Surgery, the founder and Director of the multidisciplinary Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology Group, and received his Master of Business Administration, Medical Services Management degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Professional Studies.

Everyman Theatre is a professional Equity theatre company celebrating the actor, with the resident company of artists from the Baltimore/DC area.
