The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre has announced that two new and final performances of Swan Lake have been added to the Melbourne season. The new performances will take place at 6.30pm on Tuesday June 23 and 7.30pm on Wednesday June 24 2015.

The Melbourne season of Swan Lake, at the Plenary in Southbank, now includes NINE shows and will run from Friday June 19 to Wednesday June 24 2015.

The season, originally scheduled for four performances, has been extended several times to meet public demand. This is the final possible extension. Extra shows added to the season include a Wednesday matinee at 11am - a time proving enormously popular with those patrons wanting to attend a daytime performance.

The 55 member St Petersburg Ballet Theatre's Swan Lake has been selling out on every stop of its international tour, which started in Paris at the prestigious The?a?tre des Champs-Elyse?es on 8 March. The Company is currently in South Africa and will arrive in Australia in early June after its already sold-out Singapore season. Following the Melbourne season, The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre heads to the Coliseum in London.

Tickets for the season including the two extra performances are available now through Ticketmaster.

The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre is renowned globally not just for its beautiful Vaganova trained dancers but also for its stunning, grand, full-length productions. When the company travels internationally they take the breathtaking scenery and magnificent costumes they are famous for with them.
