Due to popular demand, two extra performances of Melbourne Theatre Company's Pennsylvania Avenue have been added to the season, which will now run until Tuesday 23 December 2014.

Written by Joanna Murray-Smith, directed by Simon Phillips and starring Bernadette Robinson, Pennsylvania Avenue is a brilliant new music theatre work that seamlessly blends show business and political history.

Bernadette Robinson's renowned power of transformation in evoking the great divas of our time is the stuff of legend. In this production, audiences are treated to a new collection of iconic singers including Marilyn Monroe, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and Eartha Kitt.

Pennsylvania Avenue is playing at Southbank Theatre, The Sumner until Tuesday 23 December.

Tickets to the extra performances on Monday 22 December and Tuesday 23 December are on sale from Saturday 22 November.
