Idina Menzel will grace the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's) Concert Hall stage for one night only on Saturday 29 June, performing live with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO).

The Tony Award-winning actress, singer and songwriter, Idina Menzel, shows why she is one of the great performers of our time showcasing her diverse repertoire of classic pop and musical theatre favourites, including hits from Wicked, Rent and GLEE.

Lauded for her strong yet emotional performances, Menzel recently embarked on a highly successful international orchestra tour, that saw The Denver Post dubbing her as "The Streisand of her generation," while The New York Times praised Menzel as "an entertainer with a phenomenal voice...Diana Ross with ten times the stamina and lung power".

Garnering huge critical acclaim very early on in her career, Menzel reached superstardom on Broadway with her Tony Award-winning performance as Elphaba, the misunderstood green girl, in the blockbuster WICKED, and in her Tony-nominated role as Maureen in the revolutionary RENT.

In addition to WICKED and RENT, Menzel appeared on Broadway as Sheila in the Encores! production of HAIR and starred as Amneris in AIDA. In London, she premiered the Broadway hit WICKED in the West End and received the Theatregoers Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

More recently, Menzel reprised her role on GLEE, as Shelby Corcoran, Rachel's biological mother and starred alongside Susan Sarandon, Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams in Disney's romantic fable, Enchanted.

This June at QPAC is set to be one WICKED month of entertainment! Don't miss out hearing the exceptionally powerful and captivating voice of Idina Menzel defy gravity with the QSO for one night only.
