Hill Country Community Theatre to Present A LITTLE OFF THE TOP

The Hill Country Community Theatre is in rehearsals for its production of the hilarious comedy "A Little Off the Top" by Carl L. Williams.

Steve and Jerry, two lonely balding bachelors, find a perfect toupee with which to attract women, but cannot afford it. Desperate for hair, they purchase a used toupee and decide to taking turns wearing it. With two bald men and just one toupee, things get a bit hairy for Steve and Jerry.

"Get ready for non-stop laughter! This show is going to be a riot!" said Glen Bird the show's director. "We've a great cast featuring HCCT veterans you may not have seen in a while and some new talent as well. Audiences are going to have a blast when they see it."

The cast of "A Little Off the Top" includes Anson Hahn as Jerry, Doug Hart playing Steve, Don Jacks plays Lewis, Kay Baker plays Peggy, April Lyon as Lisa and Sharon Penny playing Cheryl. Wayne Hawley and Randy L. Hilmer will share the role of Hubert the toupee salesman.

Veteran playwright, and Houston resident, Carl L. Williams has won numerous playwriting competitions for his full-length and one-act plays. His play "Under A Cowboy Moon" was produced at HCCT in 2007.

"A Little Off the Top" will be presented by the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657. The show will open on April 21 and runsthrough May 1. Performances will be on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:15 PM.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students with a valid ID. Reservations can be made by calling (830) 798-8944, online at www.theHCCT.org, or at the box office (12:00 noon to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday) beginning April 11 for HCCT members and April 14 for the general public.
