Stage Door Players Continues 40th Season with ON GOLDEN POND, Now thru 2/16

STAGE DOOR PLAYERS, Dunwoody's own professional theatre company, continues its 40th Anniversary Season with On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson, directed by Kelly Criss. The show opens tonight, January 24, 8pm curtain, and runs until February 16. The cast is led by Atlanta veterans Jackie Prucha and Theo Harness. Stage Door Players is located at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338, approx one block South of the Mt. Vernon Road and Chamblee Dunwoody Road intersection, in the North Dekalb Cultural Arts Center.

Ethel and Norman Thayer are spending their summer at their home on a lake called Golden Pond and this year, for the first time in many, their daughter Chelsea (with new fiancé and his son in tow) visits them. Generations humorously and poignantly clash, as the play explores the often turbulent relationships of growing up, and the difficulties faced by a couple in the twilight of a long marriage.

Jackie Prucha (Ethel) and Theo Harness (Norman) lead this talented cast: Jim Dailey (Charlie), Dori Garziano (Chelsea), Matt Lewis (Bill Ray) and Sam Costantino (Billy).

The production is directed by Kelly Criss and the production/design team includes Jane Kroessig (Costume Design), Kathy Manning (Props Design), Jason Pohlemus (Sound Design), John David Williams (Lighting Design), Chuck Welcome (Scenic Design), and Hampton Whatley (Production Manager). The show is stage managed by Ellen Gaydos.
