PushPush's SmallTall Youth Program will offer its signature camps this summer, allowing students to try their hand at work behind and in front of the lights. This year's program will be a unique blend of original modern stories and classic text.

They are teaming with long-time partner, Lawrence Keller in Chicago to partner young writers in Chicago with our own students. Lawrence has directed at the Alliance Theater, Actors Express, The Horizon Theater, and more. Recently, Lawrence directed a new Sam Shepard play for PushPush as well as the award winning, 101 Humiliating Stories which toured to Chicago and won a top-ten play award here in Atlanta. The camps will culminate in a lively public performance at noon on the final Thursday and Friday of each session.

New Summer Theater Camp added for ages 4 - 7!

This is a fun introduction to theater where campers will use imaginative play to learn how to work together, tell stories, create characters, practice acting, movement, singing, and any other creative expression they enjoy. In this week-long camp, we will build a performance loosely based on the book Tilly the Trickster, a new children's book by Molly Shannon, about the pleasures and perils of being a prankster. Parents and friends can enjoy the performance at the end of the workshop.

Dates: July 2 - July 6, 2012
Times: Monday - Friday, 10am-1pm
Fee: $150
To register for any of these programs email us to reserve space, or visit the website for more information.

PushPush Theater and Film's goals with the SmallTall youth program are to enhance participant's imagination, communication, confidence, and thinking skills while sensitizing them to team work. Where applicable, teens and youth will work separately but come together to create the final performance. The camps are challenging and require focus, but they're also fun and tremendously rewarding. All camps are taught by leading professional artists in their related fields.
