Let's go on a journey. Open your eyes to a place of wonder, excitement, and exploration. Thrill yourself into the lives of three women who travel through time and encounter the future. Blur the lines between your inner and outer worlds and allow yourself to understand that what we perceive is only what we're open to seeing.

Ready to travel? Good. Let's go On the Verge, or The Geography of Yearning.

Written by Eric Overmyer, On the Verge, or The Geography of Yearning is the epitome of feminism and the power of American women. In this production, the power of words is used in a way that stimulates audience members' intelligence and is exciting on every level. The heroines, Fanny (Park Krausen), Alexandra (Michelle Pokopac), and Mary (Keena Redding Hunt) navigate the world with the same measure they navigate their vocabulary-beautifully.

Director, Carolyn Cook, states this Atlanta based production will hopefully leave audiences excited about the future. She also credits her amazing team for being able to take on any unforeseen challenges while bringing this story to life. "I embraced the fact that theatre is a collaborative art form and there's no way I could've done that alone. Working with a team of great people and taking a leap of faith together is what made this [experience] incredible."

The three women share tales of mystery, romance, and captivity in ways that are sure to excite your imagination. They travel through space and time to discover their places in the world. Like the explorers, audiences are advancing in time and beginning to experience the future. One question this play will leave you is, how well do you know yourselves? Take the journey to find out.

On the Verge, or The Geography of Yearning is showing at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre November 3-20, 2016. For more information, visit their website at get.org or call (770) 641-1260.
