The Atlanta Fringe Festival has announced the return of the ever-popular Easter Art Hunt, where, like so many Easter eggs, pieces of art will be hidden and free to whoever finds them. This year's event, a partnership between the Atlanta Fringe Festival, the East Atlanta Community Association and East Atlanta Kids Club, will be an all-day family-friendly throwdown, featuring live music, food trucks, a children's egg hunt and Easter-themed crafts - all leading up to the Art Hunt at 1:00 p.m. The festivities, which are completely free and open to the public, will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, at Brownwood Park in East Atlanta. As in years past, the hidden artwork will come from local artists, with last year's hunt boasting pieces by local favorites Catlanta, Evereman, and R. Land.

This year Binders Art Supplies and Frames is generously donating art supplies for use in the afternoon's community art-making activity, in which canvases and supplies will be set up for people to collaborate and create art on the spot! The schedule of events is as follows:

10 a.m. Craft activities in Brownwood Recreation Center

11 a.m. EACA Easter Egg Hunt

12 p.m. Easter egg dying and other crafts commence in the pavilion, including a selfie photo booth, spoon race, and art-making activity. Live music begins (band TBA).

1 p.m. Art Hunt commences on north side of the park past the tennis court. May the odds be ever in your favor!

2-3 p.m. Raffle drawings and last chances for art projects

Last year's art hunt boasted hundreds of visitors combing the park for free art so attendees are encouraged to arrive early, dress comfortably and be ready to run, if necessary. Festival organizers will also giveaway prizes via random drawing, including a basket of Binders art supplies and passes to the 3rd annual Atlanta Fringe Festival, taking place June 5-8, 2014. So, there are plenty of opportunities to take home something awesome!

"We always have a blast doing the art hunt and bringing different Atlanta art communities together for an afternoon," explains AFF Executive Director Diana Brown. "Partnering with East Atlanta Community Association and the East Atlanta Kids Club is just icing on the cake! Since we dreamed up the Fringe Festival we've been looking for ways to get families and kids of all ages involved, and this is a great opportunity to show kids how much fun making and sharing art can be. You can get free art, make your own masterpiece, buy a popsicle from King of Pops and dance in a field to live music. Who doesn't love all of that?"
