One Sunday a month in NYC (and occasionally on the road), comedian Chris Duffy hosts a night of his favorite performers sharing their work and the things they love. Each artist performs a set. Then they enthusiastically endorse a prize that they love and give it away to audience members. It's an Oprah-style audience giveaway! Previous audience members have taken home candy bars, books, magazine subscriptions, kitchen appliances, CDs, and gaff tape. Every show, one lucky audience member receives a Tovolo mixing spoon (the greatest spoon in the universe). Guaranteed to be the most positive way to spend an evening. You Get A Spoon was called a "Pick of the Week" by the LA Weekly and it's been featured in Seattle's The Stranger.

March's guests will include comedian Myq Kaplan (as seen on America's Got Talent, Conan, Comedy Central, Letterman, and Netflix's Small, Dork and Handsome), musician David Cieri, composer for Ken Burns' documentary films, and poet Danielle Blau, author of Mere Eye and regular contributor to The New Yorker.

You Get a Spoon! plays at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) every Third Sunday of the month at 7pm. Tickets ($12) are available online at www.horsetrade.info.

Chris Duffy (Host) is the creator and host of You're the Expert, a live show, podcast, and public radio program on Boston's WBUR where three comedians try to guess what a scientist studies all day. Now based in NYC, Chris performs across the country. His shows have been featured in The New York Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post, and in The Onion A.V. Club. In addition to comedy, Chris is a writer whose work has appeared in the Boston Globe, Makeshift Magazine, and Wag's Revue. Chris is both a former fifth grade teacher and a former fifth grade student.
