Verb Ballets Hosts Dance For Everyone Spring Open House

Verb Ballets welcomes the community for the Dance For Everyone Spring Open House at the new Verb Ballets Center for Dance on Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 2:00-4:00pm. The Verb Ballet Center for Dance, located at 3558 Lee Road in Shaker Heights inside The Dealership, is the new home for the professional dance company and community dance program. The Dance For Everyone open house features free class samplers, meet and greet with teachers, studio tours and a performance by the Adverb Project. Verb Ballets offers monthly youth classes in addition to drop-in teen and adult classes.

Verb Ballets offers youth classes to help kids build a strong foundation for dance by improving coordination, strength, flexibility, musicality and good teamwork! Meet the youth instructors Kate Webb and Kenya Woods at the open house and try a class. Class samplers are organized by age: Creative Movement (Ages 3-4) at 2:00pm, Kids Pre-Ballet Class (Ages 5-7) at 2:30pm and Kids Ballet (Ages 7-12) 3:30pm.

Verb Ballets welcomes teens and adults with its Dance For Everyone Community Dance Program offering a diverse array of classes including ballet, stretch and musical theater. The program provides classes on an ongoing and drop-in basis. Dance for Everyone Program allows people to nurture wellness, create a sense of identity and expression through dance while participating in healthy exercise. Sample adult classes will be offered at the open house including New to Ballet at 2:30pm, Musical Theater Dance at 3:00pm and Stretch + Strength Class at 3:00pm.

An extension of Verb Ballets' community dance program, The Adverb Project is a performance ensemble comprised of adult learners. The Adverb Project will perform during the community open house at 2:00pm. Led by Associate Artistic Director, Richard Dickinson, the project offers ongoing workshops to learn choreography and performance technique.

With a rich 30-year history, Verb Ballets is one of the oldest dance companies in the region.
