VJ John Bantay will play his final night at Spash's Musical Mondays next Monday May 20th after 10 smash years. Bantay leaves to join Avenue Q as stage manager.

Bantay's Broadway credits include: Passing Strange, Pal Joey, The Ritz. Encores at City Center: ...It's Superman; Fiorello! andFinian's Rainbow. Show Supervisor: Chippendales (US/Europe), Antigravity, West Side Story (Europe). As performer: Broadway revivals of The Ritz; Hello, Dolly!; The King and I and the Off-Broadway revival of Pacific Overtures. Producer: Musical Mondays (Splash Bar) since 2002.

Each Monday night, a packed house roars for everything from classic gems (Barbra's "Don't Rain On My Parade," Carol Channing's "Hello, Dolly!" and Angela Lansbury's "Everything's Coming Up Roses") to new favorites (Sutton Foster in The Drowsy Chaperone, Christine Ebersole in Grey Gardens and the Tony Awards Jersey Boys medley) to show-stopping diva brilliance (Patti LuPone's "A New Argentina," Idina Menzel's "Defying Gravity," and Jennifer Holliday's "And I'm Telling You").

Along with the many theater fanatics, don't be surprised to run into Broadway stars and creators enjoying Bantay's showstoppers. Visitors have included Patti LuPone, Kristen Chenoweth, Christina Applegate, Kevin Chamberlin, Heather Headley, Cheyenne Jackson, Jason Moore and Jeff Whitty (director and bookwriter, Avenue Q) and Scott Wittman (lyricist, Hairspray).
