Elena Martin is the Artistic Director and Designer of Martin Lamothe. She is also a teacher of Creative Direction, Artistic Direction, Styling at Masters and Post-Graduates in several Universities of Spain and Mexico. She combines these with her freelance activity as a coolhunter/marketing research for Spanish and USA enterprises. She is also a freelance designer for important national and international brands.
At the early age of 21 Elena Martin graduated from Fashion in the prestigious Master of Central Saint Martins College of London. After finishing the 2- year career at her home town, Barcelona and be the winner for Pitti Filatti in Florence.
Remained in London and worked as an assistant for Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen for two years. At the third year she mingled in the world of performance and video art, which were her fortes and developed a styling phase whose collaborations reached VIPs in the music world such as Kylie Minogue, Cher, Howie B, whom made her win several acknowledgements.
In 2004, at the age of 25 she was determined to continue her career in New York. She was offered a job as the head of Design Direction of Miró Jeans, the sportswear line of Antonio Miró, regarded as the avant-garde for masculine fashion. Concluded four seasons and two fashion shows at Pasarela Gaudi with utter success.
In 2006 Elena Martin improved her freelance activities and with impressive triumph she presents her SS07 & FW08 collections at Ego de Cibeles in Madrid.
In 2007 Martin Lamothe was born and tends to grow as a unisex brand. Presented in BBB, Bread & Butter Barcelona, Bread & Butter Berlin, Paris Fashion Week in Rendez Vouz Paris, developing international distribution.
In 2008 Martin Lamothe launches her Image and Art team who leads the brand growth and strengthen her bonds to the art, photographs & video art world. She begins her official runway shows at 080, Barcelona Fashion Week.
In 2010 Martin Lamothe opens her office in London and presents The Exhibition in London Fashion Week. On September she presents at Pasarela Cibeles, Madrid Fashion Week. Martin Lamothe can be found at the main Fashion World capitals.
